My first giveaway!

Ok,  so, for a newbie blogger who vowed no promises on regular posts, or any interesting content other than sharing things I made, here I am being over ambitious and offering up a giveaway.   Why? I dunno, Sounded like fun. ;)  I've won a few giveaways myself in the past and I figured it's about time I give back.

So in participation with Sew Mama Sew's Great Giveaway Day I'm offering up this striped baby cardigan I made when I was pregnant.

I ended up not using it and have decided to pass it on to someone who will promise to love it.  It's crocheted in baby cottons with a vintage button. I prefer to give credit where due and I'd share the patten I made it from but I can't seem to find my print out of it.

Here you can see my Little Badger modeling it for size reference. He's almost 9 months old and roughly 18-19 lbs.

And yes, I will ship internationally.

I'm not fancy, I don't need to be tweeted, or facebooked.  I won't ask you to follow me just to enter. I only want people to follow me because they enjoy what they see.  So to enter just leave me any ol' comment below.

Be sure to leave a way for me to contact you in case you win!

If you really want to leave a meaningful comment and you've taken a quick look at the handful of posts I've made since I started thatthingimade, I'm open to critiques and suggestions on my blogging so far.  :)

  7. I lovely cardigan.
I'm hugely impressed with anyone that can crochet, (I really like the twin blankets too). I tried it because it was supposed to be easier than knitted. Well that's as maybe but I still am absolutely useless. My granny square could not have been further from square and took me about a day. I will have to practice though because I am determined to make a ripple blanket some day!

  9. Oh my gosh ~ That sweater is just adorable. I would dearly love to be able to win this for my Granddaughter. She is nearing 4 months old so it might be a couple months yet before it fits her as nicely as it does your super cute little guy. Of course maybe a cute little belt around her chunky little tummy would make it work even now.

I tried SO hard to learn to crochet but have so many directions I'm going that it just wasn't sinking in very much so I dropped it for awhile. I will go back to it some day but for now winning this would be wonderful. Her Momma would treasure it; that I can promise. She's the type of Mom that will be saving all sorts of things from her daughters life as she's one of those girls that still treasure the old fashioned values.

  12. He is just precious! I've got a friend who's due to have her first baby girl in September, I'd love to give that pretty cardigan to her...I can't crochet or knit to save my life, frankly. I'm still not certain there isn't some sort of voodoo magic involved...think about it... a ball of string and a stick or two, and you end up with clothing? It smacks of the dark arts to me. >.>
